In the late hours of New Year's Day 2019, a young man's life was cut short in a burst of violence on a Savannah street. Jamar Davis Jr., a 20-year-old male, was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound on January 1, 2019, at approximately 11:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Tibet Avenue. Responding to a call about an unresponsive person, Savannah police officers arrived to find a scene that would quickly turn into a homicide investigation.
