On that fateful morning, Chatham County Police responded to a call at a residence on Quacco Trail around 9:00 a.m. Inside the home, they discovered a horrific scene: LJ, along with his grandparents, Connie Babcock, 68, and Daniel Babcock, 71, were found deceased. All three victims had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The authorities immediately launched an investigation into the triple homicide that had shattered a family and sent shockwaves through the community.
The primary suspect in the killings was swiftly taken into custody at the scene. He was identified as 42-year-old Junior Thomas Babcock, the father of young LJ and the son of Connie and Daniel Babcock. Investigators have not publicly disclosed a motive for the shootings.
