In the early morning hours of March 20, 2020, the life of 30-year-old Cortez Lavan Aiken was tragically cut short in Savannah, Georgia. Aiken, a man remembered by friends and family as a caring and loyal individual with a goofy personality, was discovered with a life-threatening gunshot wound in the 2000 block of Hagood Street. The grim discovery was made by Savannah Police officers who were responding to a call of shots fired in the area at approximately 2:15 a.m.
