In the late afternoon of a December day in Savannah, Georgia, the life of 24-year-old Jamal Teleast Elliott was brought to a violent and sudden end. On Sunday, December 21, 2014, Elliott was on the front porch of a residence in the Yamacraw Village housing complex when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 2:39 p.m., and when authorities arrived, Elliott was pronounced dead at the scene.
