On September 1, 2023, at approximately 9:00 PM, the Statesboro Police Department (SPD) and Bulloch EMS responded to a shooting at The Connection apartment complex located at 2000 Stambuk Lane in Statesboro, Georgia. Upon arrival, officers found Larry Maurice Chapman, a 20-year-old male from Savannah, Georgia, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on a stairway.
