On February 21, 2016, Antonio Sanchez, a 23-year-old male from Statesboro, Georgia, was found dead at the Aspen Heights Apartments. The Statesboro Police Department responded to a welfare check at the apartment complex around 9:15 PM and discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Antonio Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second victim, 23-year-old Allison Fleet, was flown to Memorial Health for treatment.
