In the early morning hours of November 4, 2023, a shooting shattered the quiet of the 400 block of Daniel Street in Lagrange, Georgia. When police arrived at the scene around 12:57 a.m. following a report of shots fired, they found 33-year-old Tabious Frazier suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was rushed to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and died. Two other women were also victims of the shooting; one was treated for a gunshot wound to her shoulder, while the other was grazed by a bullet.
The investigation into the triple shooting and Frazier's death quickly led to arrests. On the same day as the incident, police apprehended 32-year-old Jacorious Jamar Thomas. Two days later, on November 6, a second suspect, 23-year-old Traveious Kindrez Rosser, was taken into custody. The third and final suspect, 17-year-old Jaylin Gates, was arrested on November 18. All three individuals were charged with felony murder in connection with the death of Tabious Frazier. While arrests have been made, the police have not yet released a motive for the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Tabious, known to his loved ones as 'TJ' or 'BackDoe Joe,' was remembered as a man with a soft, humble spirit who was loved by many. He was a dedicated employee at Hyundai Transys Seating and was known for his love of fashion, grilling, and food. He had a particular fondness for children and was cherished by his family and friends for his joking nature. His unexpected death left a void in the lives of his parents, siblings, and extended family.
