On December 24, 2023, Steven Luke, a 36-year-old resident of Augusta, Georgia, was fatally shot just before midnight on Christmas Eve. The incident occurred in the backyard of his home on the 2300 block of Boykin Road, where he lived.
Luke was shot at least once and was immediately rushed to Wellstar MCG, where he was pronounced dead an hour later, according to Coroner Mark Bowen. An autopsy was scheduled to determine the exact cause and details of his death.
