Renqual Geter, a 26-year-old transgender woman from Eastover, South Carolina, was tragically shot and killed on July 20, 2022, at the Knights Inn on Boy Scout Road in Augusta, Georgia. Known to her friends and family as Keshia Chanel Geter, she was found deceased in a hotel room by her traveling companion. The Richmond County Coroner's Office confirmed that Geter had been shot at least once and was pronounced dead at the scene around 11:30 a.m. on that Wednesday morning.
