Clifford Wright

In the early evening of May 22, 2017, a dispute at the Yellow Store on East Boundary Street in Augusta, Georgia, escalated into a fatal encounter for 28-year-old Clifford R. Wright, an African American male. An altercation that began outside the convenience store spilled inside, culminating in Wright being shot at least once. He was rushed to Augusta University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:52 p.m.
