In the early morning hours of September 23, 2018, the life of Dominique DeAngelo Holliman, a 29-year-old African American male, was tragically cut short in Augusta, Georgia. Responding to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Old Barton Chapel Road, Richmond County sheriff's deputies discovered Holliman's body inside a vehicle on Melody Drive. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:17 a.m. by the chief deputy coroner.
An autopsy was subsequently scheduled to be performed at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab in Atlanta.
