In a quiet Augusta neighborhood, a tragedy unfolded, leaving a community in shock and mourning. On a Sunday in June, 86-year-old Kimiko Stewart was found deceased in her home on Byron Place. An investigation revealed she had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Her husband, Jerome Stewart, who was also 86 years old, was discovered at the scene with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
