On June 25, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Chatham County Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 300 block of North Lathrop Avenue near the Port of Savannah. Upon arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Lexus Mutcherson suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
