On April 7, 2025, 31-year-old African American male Ahkeem Kavon Holmes was fatally shot in Savannah, Georgia. The incident occurred around 3:10 p.m. in the 2000 block of North Fernwood Drive. Holmes was found unresponsive at the scene and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The Chatham County Coroner confirmed that he had been shot at least once. An autopsy was scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
