In the early morning hours of November 15, 2014, the life of 22-year-old T'arsha Williams was tragically cut short in the Hudson Hill neighborhood of Savannah, Georgia. Williams was discovered deceased inside his gray Pontiac, which had come to a stop after rolling into a building on Hudson Street. He had been fatally shot in what investigators would later describe as a robbery attempt gone wrong.
The investigation into the death of the Savannah man quickly led detectives to suspect a planned attack. It was determined that Williams had been lured to the location near West Lathrop Avenue by individuals who intended to rob him. The events of that night unfolded around 3:30 a.m., leaving a young man dead and a community searching for answers.
Within a month of the incident, the first arrest was made. In December 2014, authorities took 21-year-old Taylor Lavon LaCount into custody. The search for additional suspects continued, and in March of the following year, a second individual, 21-year-old William Darnell Davis, was apprehended by law enforcement in Peach County. The final suspect, Trinika Latrell Beamon, surrendered to Chatham County Deputies in May 2015.
All three individuals faced a litany of serious charges for their alleged roles in the death of T'arsha Williams. The charges filed against them included murder, felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and armed robbery or criminal attempt. The arrests brought a measure of progress in a case that had shaken the community, marking the beginning of the legal process to hold those responsible for Williams' death accountable.
