Larry Drayton, a 73-year-old resident of Augusta, Georgia, passed away on August 26, 2024, due to complications from a shooting that occurred on August 9, 2024. The incident took place at his home on the 1900 block of Gay Drive in Augusta. Drayton was shot at least once and was subsequently transferred to Pruitt Healthcare Nursing Facility, where he succumbed to his injuries 17 days later.
