On August 30, 2024, 37-year-old African American male Tristan Lamar Manigault was fatally shot in downtown Savannah, Georgia. The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of West Congress Lane and Whitaker Street. According to the Savannah Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.
