In the summer of 2016, a life was tragically cut short in Savannah, Georgia. On the evening of Friday, August 19, 2016, 29-year-old Daniel Polite Landy was killed. The incident unfolded on West 37th Street, where a verbal dispute escalated into fatal violence. Landy was shot and succumbed to his injuries, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden loss.
