In the early hours of November 1, 2017, the life of 21-year-old John Lee Hunter Jr. was tragically cut short in Savannah, Georgia. Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 300 block of W. 45th Street at approximately 12:50 a.m. and discovered Hunter deceased at the scene. The investigation into the fatal shooting was handled by Metro's Violent Crimes detectives.
