In the early evening of October 8, 2021, tragedy struck in Savannah, Georgia, claiming the life of 45-year-old Edward James D. Futch. A male resident of the city, Futch was at the Coastal Place Apartments, located on the 100 block of Coastal Place, when he was shot. The incident, which occurred around 6 p.m., left him with life-threatening injuries. Emergency services were quick to respond, and Futch was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
