On a late Sunday afternoon in Savannah, Georgia, on May 31, 2015, the life of 15-year-old Mikell Wright was tragically cut short. The young male was found with gunshot wounds near the Sunrise Villas apartments on East 38th Street and was rushed to Memorial University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The incident, which also involved his younger brother being struck with a gun, sent ripples of grief and shock through the community.
