Gary Pitts, a 26-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on July 7, 2022, in Savannah, Georgia. The incident occurred at the corner of West Park Avenue and Montgomery Street, where Pitts was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries, marking the 20th homicide in Savannah for that year.
