On the night of December 29, 2025, just days after Christmas, the life of 22-year-old Corey Webb was tragically cut short during a violent home invasion in Brighton, Tennessee. Webb was at his residence on John Hill Road with his girlfriend, Autumn Bishop, and their three-year-old son, Grayson, when multiple armed individuals forced their way into the home around 11:30 p.m. In the ensuing chaos, Webb was shot multiple times.
Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries, leaving behind his young son and his girlfriend. Webb's mother was also present during the terrifying ordeal.
The Tipton County Sheriff's Office immediately launched an investigation into the brutal slaying. Evidence at the scene suggested that Webb may have fired at the intruders in an attempt to defend his family, possibly injuring one of them. The suspects fled in a waiting vehicle after the shooting. Through diligent police work, investigators were able to track the suspects to two homes in Memphis.
Within a short period, authorities made several arrests in connection with the murder of Corey Webb. Among those taken into custody were 20-year-old Ashton Wolsefer and two male juveniles, aged 16 and 17. One of the teenagers had sustained a gunshot wound. A fourth and then a fifth suspect, identified as Ladarrell Miller, were subsequently apprehended, with Miller being captured by U.S. Marshals in Memphis. All five individuals have been charged with first-degree murder, especially aggravated robbery, and especially aggravated burglary. They are currently being held in the Tipton County jail as the investigation continues, with law enforcement indicating that they are seeking any other individuals who may have been involved in the deadly home invasion.
