Nakwon J. Genous was an 18-year-old Black/African American male from Milwaukee whose life ended in an early-morning shooting on May 31, 2025. Shortly before dawn, gunfire broke the quiet near North 41st Street and West Glendale Avenue. Milwaukee police were called to the area at about 5:00 a.m., where Genous was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He died at the scene. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office later publicly identified him as the person killed.
