On September 11, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in Dublin, Georgia, resulting in the death of 35-year-old Cortez Hicks. The incident took place at a residence located at 422 Jones Village Lane. Hicks was found on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds when police were dispatched to the scene at 11:55 a.m..
Hicks was immediately transported to Fairview Park Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by Laurens County Deputy Coroner Nathan Stanley at 12:24 p.m..
