In the early hours of Friday, March 24, 2023, the sounds of gunshots pierced the quiet of the 4400 block of E Street, Southeast in Washington, D.C. When Sixth District officers arrived at the scene around 12:25 a.m., they discovered evidence of a shooting, but no victim was to be found. A short time later, another call led police to the 300 block of Anacostia Drive, Southeast, where they found an unconscious adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.
