Richard Soward, a 20-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on September 26, 2020, in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 5 a.m., in the 200 block of North Latrobe Avenue. Soward was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed that he died from his injuries and ruled his death a homicide.
