In the late hours of an April evening in Southeast Washington, D.C., the life of 27-year-old Deandre Wheeler was tragically cut short. On Thursday, April 27, 2023, at approximately 10:19 p.m., the sound of gunfire echoed through the 4200 block of 4th Street, Southeast. When officers from the Seventh District of the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Wheeler suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
