In the early evening of November 10, 2022, the life of 21-year-old Umar Epps was tragically cut short in a shooting in Northeast Washington, D.C. A Black male, Epps was discovered by Sixth District officers inside a residence on the 4500 block of Quarles Street, Northeast, around 6:37 p.m., suffering from a gunshot wound.
