César Vincente Cauce, a 25-year-old Cuban immigrant, was one of the five victims of the Greensboro Massacre that occurred on November 3, 1979. Cauce, who had graduated magna cum laude from Duke University, was actively involved in the anti-war movement and union organizing at textile mills in North Carolina.
