On a summer afternoon in Washington, D.C., a dispute in an alleyway tragically escalated, leading to the death of 46-year-old Donald B. Childs. The events unfolded on Sunday, July 30, 2023, in the 100 block of Farragut Street, Northwest. At approximately 2:43 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting and found Childs suffering from a gunshot wound.
