On September 4, 2023, a homicide occurred in the 6000 block of Dix Street, Northeast, in Washington, D.C. At approximately 1:34 a.m., members of the Sixth District of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the location following reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male shooting victim, later identified as 29-year-old Marquette West of District Heights, MD.
