In the early morning hours of Monday, September 4, 2023, the life of Marquette West, a 29-year-old male, was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. At approximately 1:34 a.m., the sound of gunshots pierced the night in the 6000 block of Dix Street, Northeast, just a block away from the border with Prince George's County. When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Mr. West suffering from gunshot wounds.
