On December 8, 2010, the Southeast, D.C. resident was shot and killed in the 1300 block of Half Street, Southwest, near Nationals Park. His body was discovered several hours after he had been slain.
The male teenager's death was ruled a homicide by the Metropolitan Police Department, who are still investigating the fatal shooting. A funeral for the teen was held on December 16, 2010, and a candlelight vigil also took place to remember him. His family, including his mother and two sisters, mourned their loss, with his mother, Althea D. Tolson, and twin sister, Scatisha, expressing their profound grief.
