In the early hours of a Wednesday morning, just weeks before he would have celebrated his 18th birthday, 17-year-old Scott Brian Tolson Staten's life was tragically cut short. On December 8, 2010, the Southeast, D.C. resident was shot and killed in the 1300 block of Half Street, Southwest, near Nationals Park. His body was discovered several hours after he had been slain.
