In the late afternoon of a Monday in Washington, D.C., violence tragically cut short the life of a teenager. On September 25, 2023, in the 2300 block of Green Street, Southeast, 16-year-old Jamal Jones was shot. The incident occurred around 3:38 p.m. in a residential area of Anacostia.
