On a Saturday evening in Washington, D.C., the life of 48-year-old DiCarlo Dickerson was tragically cut short. At approximately 9:26 p.m. on April 5, 2025, gunshots rang out in the 1100 block of Eastern Avenue, Northeast. When Sixth District officers arrived at the scene, they found Dickerson, a resident of Northeast D.C., unconscious and not breathing, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but their efforts were in vain,
and Dickerson was pronounced dead at the scene. The Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch is actively investigating the case, but as of now, they have not released any information about potential suspects or a motive for the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
In an effort to bring the person or persons responsible to justice, the Metropolitan Police Department is seeking assistance from the public. They are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those involved in the homicide.
