In the late afternoon of October 23, 2024, tragedy struck in the 4200 block of 6th Street, Southeast, in Washington, D.C., resulting in the death of 22-year-old Asonta Dunmore. A Black male, Mr. Dunmore was found by members of the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District who were responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 4:09 p.m.
