On June 19, 2024, a tragic incident occurred at a residence on 270 Hell Hollow Rd in Voluntown, Connecticut, resulting in the deaths of Michael J. Zannini and his wife, Jacqueline Zannini. The incident began when Connecticut State Police from Troop E-Montville were dispatched to the home following a 911 call from a woman who provided the address and said, "Emergency, I'm sorry," before hanging up.
