In the summer of 2014, the life of 44-year-old Michael Mikulse was cut short in a violent encounter in East Hartford, Connecticut. On the evening of July 2nd, a confrontation erupted in the parking lot of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post on Main Street. The dispute tragically escalated, and Mikulse was fatally shot. At the time of his death, he resided in an apartment across the street from where the shooting occurred.
