Murdered

Omar Shawn Thompson, a 31-year-old resident of Hartford, Connecticut, lost his life to gun violence on October 15, 2023. The incident occurred in a parking lot on Smith Drive in East Hartford.

Thompson was shot multiple times while in his car. Following the shooting, he was provided initial treatment by first responders at the scene before being transported to Hartford Hospital. Despite medical efforts, Thompson was pronounced dead at the hospital.
