In the early hours of a Saturday in East Hartford, Connecticut, the life of a 36-year-old Black / African American man, Michael Manson Jr., was tragically cut short. On March 12, 2022, just before 2 a.m., the sound of gunfire pierced the night in the area of Chapel Street. Responding to reports of the shooting, police officers arrived to a grim scene.
