On a summer evening, a 27-year-old Black male from the Hartford area, Gregory S. Clark, found his life irrevocably altered. On August 6, 2015, a report of a disturbance brought East Hartford Police and State Troopers to the vicinity of a commuter parking lot near the Charter Oak Bridge around 9:20 p.m. The initial call led them to the intersection of Silver Lane and Main Street, where they discovered Clark inside a white Dodge Charger, suffering from a gunshot wound.
