On September 20, 2022, 18-year-old Ernesto Morales was fatally shot in a double shooting incident on Broad Street in Hartford, Connecticut. The shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. near 640 Broad Street, close to the state Capitol. Hartford police responded to a ShotSpotter activation and, upon arrival, found evidence of gunfire but no victims at the scene.
