In the early hours of August 5, 2023, tragedy struck in Aurora, Colorado, forever altering the lives of one family. Kerris Angel Silva Sr., a 27-year-old Black / African American man, was fatally shot while sitting in his car outside a Conoco gas station near the intersection of 32nd Avenue and Peoria Street.
