In the early morning hours of November 12, 2022, a fatal shooting in an apartment complex parking lot in Aurora, Colorado, claimed the life of 41-year-old Jared Daniel Chavez. Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of South Crystal Way shortly after 3 a.m. and discovered Chavez on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate medical attention he received, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
