In the early hours of May 21, 2022, the life of 19-year-old Malik Deonte Miner was tragically cut short by gun violence in Aurora, Colorado. A Black/African American male, Miner was attending a party when the fatal shooting occurred. The incident took place around 3:30 a.m. in the parking lot of a business complex near Peoria Street and Cornell Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, they found that Miner had succumbed to his injuries.
