In the early morning hours of July 31, 2015, the vibrant pulse of a hip-hop night at McDonough's Irish Pub in Aurora, Colorado, gave way to the sharp, terrifying sound of gunfire. When the chaos subsided, 28-year-old Arthur Potts, a Black male, was found grievously wounded, having been shot in the chest.
