In the late hours of a Friday night in Aurora, Colorado, the life of Tamoi Millan Elliott, a 25-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On March 23, 2012, at approximately 11:56 p.m., the sound of gunfire pierced the night at the intersection of North Dayton Street and Montview Boulevard. When police arrived, they discovered Elliott inside a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds to his torso. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
