Alvin Eugene Marshall Jr., 22, a Black male, walked the evening of August 25, 2001, unaware that his life would soon be extinguished far too early. The quiet apartment complex at 13200 block of E. Kansas Drive in Aurora, Colorado, became the scene of a sudden and devastating act of violence. According to official records, officers from the Aurora Police Department responded to the area on a shooting call and discovered Alvin in the common area between the apartment buildings.
