On Sunday, December 24, 2023, at approximately 4:34 PM, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) received a call for service regarding shots fired at the Citadel Mall in Colorado Springs, CO. Upon responding, officers determined that a fight had broken out between two groups of people, resulting in a shooting. One adult male, later identified as 18-year-old Teryus Thomas of Colorado Springs, was found deceased in the mall from a gunshot wound.
