In the summer of 2016, a promising young life was tragically cut short in Colorado Springs. Gary L. Thomas-Harris Jr., a 20-year-old male, was fatally shot on July 16, 2016. The incident that claimed his life took place at a McDonald's restaurant in the city, a public space turned into a scene of violence.
